Lifelong Faith Formation
"Sunday is the property of our good God; it is His own day, the Lord’s day. He made all the days of the week: He might have kept them all; He has given you six, and has reserved only the seventh for Himself."
-St. John Vianney
“Christians will also sanctify Sundays by devoting time and care to their families and relatives, often difficult to do on other days of the week. Sunday is a time for reflection, silence, cultivation of the mind, and meditation which furthers the growth of the Christian interior life.”
-Catechism of the Catholic Church, Par. 2186
This resource has the Sunday Gospel readings with reflections, questions, activities, and celebrations for families to do together. Each Sunday focuses in on a different saint, so that we can grow in our love and appreciation for our “extended family” who have gone before us in faith and are interceding for us in heaven. Families can print or view them online HERE. As the subtitle suggests, this resource is an effective tool to help us to reclaim Sundays for the Lord. Use it with your family, or dive in with another family or two!
