Faith Formation 2020-2021

St. John Vianney Faith Formation
2020-2021

Dear Families,

We hope that you are all healthy, well, safe, and enjoying summer!

While we do not yet know what school will look like in the fall, we do want to share our plans for Faith Formation for the 2020-2021 year! Enclosed with this letter are program schedules, a registration form, and a program description list.

We plan to offer all of the same options as last year, as long as schools re-open for in-person classes in September, with the exception of there being no summer program this year. Classrooms will be set-up to ensure proper social distancing and will be sanitized and cleaned before and after each class.

For in-person classes, capacity will be limited due to social distancing guidelines and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Students and teachers will need to wear masks while in the building.

In the event that schools do not have on-site classes, or we are unable to hold in-person classes due to government, diocesan, or St. John Vianney regulations, students in grades 1-5 who are signed up for in-person classes will switch to Home Study. Students signed up for Edge or Confirmation Prep 1 will participate in an online format during the regularly scheduled class times.

Registration forms are due no later than September 1st. If you are participating in the Home Study Program and would like to begin working on textbook material during the summer, please have your registration forms in by Sunday, August 9th. We will notify you when textbooks have been received. Textbook pick-ups will be arranged on an individual basis.

We will be offering two textbook options for the Home Study Program this year, as indicated on the Faith Formation Program sheet. Please be sure to indicate which textbook you would like to use on your registration form. If you have any questions about the textbook options, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email.

Faith Formation Registrations fees will remain the same for the 2020-2021 year. The cost is $60.00 per child with a $200.00 maximum per family. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, please give us a call. We are happy to make special arrangements; no child will be refused due to finances.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the safety of your children while still providing Faith Formation opportunities for them here at St. John Vianney.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Peace and prayers,
