                                                                   June 2010

The following supplies will be used in art class.  Students have most of them on their supply lists for the classroom and are expected to bring them to Art Class in a supply box each week large enough to accommodate the supplies – Tupperware or plastic containers are actually better that the small pencil box type as these tend to break.  A large zip type bag or canvas bag is also fine.  If your child’s teacher is requesting an art box, one box is fine; just be sure it has the required supplies from my list as well.

            Grades K-3

v      A T-shirt that is larger than the child’s size - old or new in any color, preferably short sleeve. (Appropriate for school, of course.  No buttons, please.)

v      Two #2 pencils with erasers

v      Age-appropriate scissors (rounded edges K)

v      Bottle of glue (NO sticks or glitter glue) – Elmers or school

v      Washable markers

v      Crayola crayons – a size that will fit in your art container

v      Box of tissues (Grs. K-3)

Grades 4 -8

v      All items as above plus a folder or binder with loose leaf paper and a pocket

v      Colored pencils – not expensive ones!

v      9”x12” sketch pad for drawing (unlined paper in a pad)  Available in stores such  as: WalMart, Kmart, A.C. Moore, drugstores, etc.

v      Pencil sharpener

v      Hand wipes

Please note:  Some of these supplies do not last the duration of the school

year.  Advise your child to bring supplies home periodically so

     they may be replaced.

Thank you for your cooperation,
