1. Grades are given every quarter.
2. Grades are an average of homework, test, quizzes and
participation / cooperation.
3. All major test and quizzes will be asked to be signed by
parent or guardian. A numerous of unsigned papers will cause a
reduction of 5 points on final average.
4. If I consider the student should make corrections on a
test or a quiz, it will be written on top of the test paper.
Corrections will only be graded and considered to increase a grade
ONLY if original test/quiz paper is signed. There will be no
corrections on vocabulary quizzes.
5. There is a unit project for each unit, making three
major projects during the school year. Projects are given at
the beginning of the unit with different topics due at different
dates.
6. Homework is given daily with minimal exceptions.
The next day it will be corrected and collected or simply collected
depending on time. The student will only have one day to hand
in an assignment. Making up missing assignments will be
handled in an individual case depending in student situation.
7.
Extra credit work for students that are really showing that they are
trying and just need more practice will be available. If work
is not turned in when its due the student will not only receive a
failing grade but also will not be considered for extra credit work
in the future. 8. All three classes will be taking a
commutative final exam in June. Study guides will be provided
and a few weeks of review before the final test will prepare them
for the test. Reminder that each students' responsibility is
to study for each and every test.
9. Progress reports will
be given to students if their average is below an 80% at that time
or if there is a significant problem with grades or missing
homework. Progress reports may also be given for poor efforts
in class and unacceptable classroom behavior. |
