Happy Summer to
all!
Lessons for grades 3-8 will end on June 10. All library books
should be returned by then. We are catching up on any missed
work and will take a typing test to set a benchmark for the
beginning of next year.
For grades 1-2, we
continue to work on skills requiring proficiency by grade level. Please
check the links for your
child's grade to see what activities are planned.
Typing Help
Since I only see your children once a week, I cannot
realistically help them improve their typing skills. To have
significant improvement, they must practice continuously. I can
only show them proper technique and encourage practice in between
lessons and projects. I have found two websites that you might
want to try with your children to help them improve their typing
speed. They are free:

the QWERTY lessons, games are fun too!
www.goodtyping.com - This
site requires you to set up an account. You need to have an
email address. I have been through the first few lessons and
think this site is good practice.
Quizzes and Homework
I will
continue to post various due
dates and test dates as they become available. In
some cases, solutions to questions done in class are
also posted. Study guides for all tests
are online. If you do not have access to the Internet, I have
instructed your child to see me and we can print the guide here at
school.
* As a reminder, any tests not signed and returned by the due date
will result in a 5 points deduction from the test grade.

via email regarding a question on homework, or any concern that you
may have, my email address is posted below for your reference.
Please know I check for messages at least once a day during the
school week. Please do not expect an instant response, as I
may be teaching, etc. and not have time during the school day to
respond. During the school week, I can guarantee a response back
within 24 hours. If you have an urgent matter please
contact me via phone.
