Phonics Readers
A new book that focuses on a new skill
will be sent home once a week when your child attends LRC and will
be stamped with a line for a parent signature and labeled with a
return date. These books are to be read out loud to an adult at home
a minimum of 3 times (not all in the same night) signed and returned
on the date indicated on the cover. When my students successfully
complete this assignment they earn a sticker and when they have
collected a total 5 stickers they will get to visit my prize box.
Please help your child to remember to complete this activity on time
successfully as we continue the learning process when the children
return to class with their book having practiced reading and
practicing the new phonics skill. The more reading we do the better
readers and writers we become, so remember to read, read, read.
In the instance
that a student is sick or group ends up being canceled due to
unforeseen circumstances the students can return their reader on the
next school day or at their next LRC session. |
