Following a curriculum that supports New York
State standards, various themes (seasons, holidays, plants, animals, colors and shapes, etc.) are
presented throughout the year. We incorporate many activities and skills
within the theme framework: pre-reading and math, science, social studies,
art, songs, fingerplays, storytime and gross and fine motor skills.
We recognize and respect the individuality of all children by providing an
atmosphere which encourages them to develop their own capabilities and talents.
Our program accommodates the various ways children learn and interact with
others by providing time for free play, group activities, and working one-on-one
with the teacher. A variety of experiences are offered to children in
order to encourage creativity, curiosity, awareness and understandings of the
world around them. We strive to build within each child a positive self
image and awareness of basic Christian ideals.
